General Rules
Please help us to preserve Worthington Park for future generations! Please read through the “fine print” for renting museum grounds for your event. The Worthington Mansion is a unique and historically valuable building, and we take great pride in our stewardship. Abiding by the rental rules will help ensure your event runs smoothly and keep the mansion in great shape for years to come.
The estate can be rented in its entirety as The Estate, or separate as Worthington Mansion or Linger Longer Stage & Meadow.
Please note: If The Estate has not been reserved in its entirety there may be other events (public or private) happening simultaneously. For example, there may be vacationers in the mansion and a wedding or public concert taking place in the meadow. Accordingly, when renting ONLY the Stage & Meadow, you will not have access to the Mansion or its amenities, such as the kitchen.
Hours of Use: On the day of the event, we allow up to 10 hours for use. This includes setup and clean up time. For weddings or any other event that requires a rehearsal, a 1 hour rehearsal may be scheduled prior to your event and is based on venue availability. You are welcome to schedule as many visits as necessary for viewing and planning prior to your event.
Parking: There is ample parking with 115 spaces. Parking is along Columbia St, in front of the museum and lot located on the North side of the meadow. There is also limited parking behind the mansion for event vendors and vacation renters. Handicap parking is available in all lots.
Occupancy: The mansion can accommodate small indoor gatherings about 20-50 depending on the type of event and required seating, while the outdoor grounds can accommodate large gatherings in various locations. The size limits vary depending on the type event and location of interest. The largest entertaining space is in the meadow in front of Linger Longer Stage, which can accommodate 300 people seated at tables, more without.
Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit of $400 is required before check-in or private event.
Deposit: A 50% deposit is required at the time of reservations or signing of the event agreement.
Catering: You are free to choose a licensed caterer of your choice or use one recommended by our event planner. All food vendors must complete the Quilcene Historical Museum’s Catering Contract.
Event Setup: We are pleased to setup items provided by Worthington Park. However, we will not set up items brought by any other vendor or your personal belongings.
Event Cleanup: We will be responsible for tearing down tables, tents and chairs. All property brought by you, vendors or guests will be your responsibility and must be removed at the conclusion of your event. It is your responsibility to return Worthington Park to the same state that it was provided to you. This means removing all decorations, placing all trash in the proper receptacles, and cleaning and replacing any borrowed items. Cleanup will be concluded by 11:00 pm. However, we will be responsible for sweeping, mopping and hauling away garbage.
Decorations: No objects such as tacks, staples, nails, wire, string, glue or tape of any kind may be affixed to any garden plants, trees or structures in any area unless otherwise, approved. All approved items will be executed under the direct hand of a Worthington Park representative or one of its agents.
