Quilcene Fiber Festival: “From Sheep to Shawl” - Saturday, November 5th, 2022
Join us for the First Annual Quilcene Fiber Festival this November! There will be music, food, and various vendors - as well as live sheep as the guests of honor! Take the opportunity to learn how to knit, crochet, weave, and felt, with classes available for both kids and adults. This is the first event for which we will be making use of the entire grounds - Mansion, Stage, and Museum!
“The Quilcene Fiber Festival will be an Experience for All. It will take you back in time, and bring you home to today. From an 1800’s walking spinning wheel to today’s e-spinner, created locally. From a beautiful Gaelic tradition of Wool Waulking with song and cloth fulling to felting your own dryer balls. See a sheep being shorn, learn to knit, weave and felt, visit with local hand dyers, spinners, knitters and their beautiful wares. Come curious and leave inspired.”
