This year, the Oyster Races registered a record 226 runners with 19 youth taking advantage – again for the first time – of the youth registration discount. The objective here was to attract more youth participating and we succeeded. Additionally, the Races grossed over $16K and netted over $9K – more income than any previous year. All race proceeds benefit Quilcene-Brinnon Dollars for Scholars, which provides scholarships to high school seniors and college undergrads, and Count Me In For Quilcene, a non-profit dedicated to enhancing the Quilcene community.

Join us next year and plan to Run, Walk, or Roll – We have events for all ages, great food, local organic oysters and micro brews in our popular and shady beer garden by the pond.
The Quilcene Oyster Half Marathon is a USATF Certified and Sanctioned Event. The course covers 13.11 miles and features views overlooking Hood Canal and Quilcene Bay, plus a peek at the Olympic Mountains.
