Quilcene, Washington

Sometimes a new creative idea is just the thing to spread a little Easter joy in the community. This year, Worthington Park board members and volunteers collaborated with the Quilcene Fire Rescue, local churches, and food banks to surprise a number of community members – particularly senior citizens and others remaining at home for safety concerns – with Easter baskets. After creating a list of recipients, volunteers went shopping – tailoring many of the baskets to the individual interests of recipients, and assembled them for delivery in the Mansion.

While we did not host our annual Easter Egg Hunt this year, we were able to contribute to the school district’s effort to run their own according to their established safety rules, serving cocoa to participants. Hunt down the photos below the Easter Basket gallery.
